Description
Among the varied animated series of my youth and the obscure ones discovered on VHS, Seabert (called Bibifoc in its original French) was one of them. It was basically another 80s cartoon centered around environmentalist and animal welfare messages. The adventures consisted of Seabert aiding American boy Tommy and Inuit girl Aura as they globe-trotted and rescued various animals from poachers. It was like a proto-Wild Thornberrys in some respects.
And yes, it's as campy as it sounds. But I have to admit, the seal's adorable. I love the noises he makes that range from a squawk-like bark to what sounds like a tribal chant. Of course, we all know he's the appeal of the show (hence the name), managing to keep the kiddies appealed.
Originally, this wasn't going as planned but I decided to keep the pic since I liked the design. This has actually turned out to be one of my best MS Paint artworks.
The title refers to the first line of the annoying but oft-quoted theme song of the English dub.

In hindsight, I think this is the point where I actually started to be decent with MS Paint fanart.

Oh I remember Seabert! That was one of my favorite shows back then!
