Description

I was looking at what's around of this one show from Yoram Gross, the same people that made Blinky Bill and the Dingoes I've fanarted before, called Skippy: Adventures in Bushtown. It's apparently about this bush kangaroo named Skippy who does what he can to ensure everything goes alright in his Australian home. I later found an episode so far. It's not bad.

As I have mentioned before, there's a clip that was set during an election when this old mayor was retiring on the evening news (hence the weird background). He selects Skippy to be the elections officer and tells him to be sure there's no "hanky-panky". I now know that the term can denote illicit activity, but I've always known it as meaning a certain other kind of activity. (Blame King of the Hill for introducing that word into my vocab.)

I just happened to pause at a particular moment just before Skippy says "Yes, Sir!" Due to being captured before a full blink animation underwent, Skippy looked like he had this somewhat pervy expression. I couldn't help it; it was too hilarious to pass up. So I recreated the scene, giving Skippy and his reporter ally Matilda that kind of face. It made me laugh.

So, how dirty is your mind? You think Skippy and Matilda here are just expressing mild amusement at recognizing a double entendre? Or are these two perhaps planning something? You be the judge!

Recently a kangaroo killed its owner and had to be shot dead before police could get to the body. It was not clear whether the man was still alive when gotten to & died later, or whether he was already dead.

Whether this will affect the popularity of Skippy cartoons I do not know.

My own M the Magnificent, having kangaroo ancestry, is strong, fast, agile, ... but I had already walked away from cartoon characters.
